It has not been an easy recovery this time around.
TV on ox-codone is hilarious. Commercials such as JG Wentworth and Oasis are so pathetic that it is hard not to be the brunt of jokes and the more ox-codone, the more the hilarity!
But some commercials are so annoying that I am beyond my tolerance for them! Copper coated cookware, diamond vapor coated cookware - and yes, you can now get two for the price of one! (Dai mi pokoi!)
I have been restarting a study on the book of Lamentations, several times - as each surgery has forced a restart of all aspect in life! And I found some notes on the Kingdom of God, from 2016 - lost with the first surgery of this year. So, I have something of interest for you, for next week!
Until then, please keep me in your prayers.
Healing, closing of the wound, pain control, environmental stability, attention span and no doubt many more items I can not remember at this time!
Thanks ...

Why Salt?
There are lots of references to salt in the Bible, in fact I know I have written on this once - but when I went back to find it - well, not there! I guess it must have been in the blogs which predated the resurrection which became Thoughts From The Little Apple. Sigh.
In the Old Testament, salt was a bit of a curse, if you think of Lot's wife.
Salt was a blessing when you think of its usage in food preservation and as a seasoning.
Check out:
Leviticus 2:13
2 Kings 2:20-21
Job 6:6
Luke 14:34-35
Colossians 4:6
Mark 9:50
Matthew 5:13
Flavor Your Faith
Our faith is God's seasoning in this world.
We are to minister to others.
Bring peace, hope, missions hospitals.
Show HIS love, HIS Care, HIS education, HIS equality!
Slow The Decay By Devotion
Salt acts as a preservative to slow down decay.
Salt is to flow through us, into the world.
We are to slow, if not stop, the decay within in each of us - and throughout mankind.
"Do without grumbling" is what Paul wrote in Philippians.
Speak With Salty Grace
Colossians 4:6, speak always graciously.
Life and death are in the power of the tongue.
Salt can sting, for good, but only when used in LOVE.
People Thirst For Jesus
Salt makes us thirst.
Jesus offers Living Water to quench your thirst.
And here Matthew 5:13 gives us the warning about losing your saltiness.
Salt loses its saltiness only through being watered down to the point it is only a trace amount in the wateer - or by the addition of an impurity ....
Yeah, think about that one and its implications to you. Do I need to say more?

Its Not About You
Forgiveness Is Important
Forgive those whom have disappointed you.
Paul is remembering those whom have hurt him and/or the Church.
Paul is remembering those whom have blessed him and the Church, as well.
Demas, whom went back into the world.
Mark, whom was useful yet dropped out on a mission trip.
I think Paul's point here is that failure does not have to be permanent nor final.
Warn of Wolves
They are dangerous!
Warn others of those whom can harm them!
More than likely, all churches have a few wolves in their midst:
Our duty is to be sure that know only our church bodies know but that any other assemblies they wish to attend are waned as well!
We are told of Alexander the Coppersmith, and told to avoid.
Give Thanks
For those whom have been a blessing in your life
Encourage Others
You are not dead, yet, so keep working. All of us need to action while there is still time!
Did you get the point of Paul's closing to Timothy? It is not about you, it is about everyone else - from your point of view.

- Predators, those whom prey upon the weak or immature
- Anti-Christ's, those whom attempt to change doctrines or ministries
