Billed as "the world's largest antique show" - it certainly wasn't!
It was down a full third of dealers from when last I attended.
2015 perhaps?
But it was fun to see a few familiar faces!
Unfortunately, my heart has grown so weak, I had to constantly rest!
And I had no air for talking more than a sentence at a time!
I swear, half the time my eyes were crossed due to utter brain shutdown!
I did not see much cash exchanging hands,
Nor many bags of stuff being carried away.
Prices were high on things being offered.
Often, something I thought would have been a solid $150 item, bore a $750 or higher price tag!
Yup. they sure liked their offerings!
I did manage to find a few interesting offerings that came home with me:
A Yakima or Cayuse Indian marble gaming ball.
A stack of 9 Recipe books from circa 1900 to 1910 for my sister, Sommer's birthday.
Three pint sized canning jars I didn't have.
A blue rabbit soft boiled egg holder, for Sommer, as well.
2 19th century Lodge tiny cast iron pans.
2 books on American Indian artifacts.
A Scottish sporran from 1890-1910 time frame.
And a dye trials piece from a potter I started collecting in 2014.
Best part?
Outside the sporran, which I paid $20 for, everything was only $3 each!
Yeah, there was a dealer dumping stock so, $3 was a good for me.
And it was stuff I was interested in besides!
The sporran I will have to replace the lining on, else was in perfect condition.
Thinking about maybe doing their November show ...
Who knows, I might still be alive then!
And I do have a storage shed of stuff still to sell!
