Storm

Been quite a snow and ice storm!
No one is sure if it is over.
Guess we will find out by Friday!

We got about 18" across several days.
Mind you the stuff melts within hours.
Currently this town should be renamed Slush-ville!
Storm drains are all frozen over,
So stand pools of water / mini-ice rinks are everywhere.

The neighbor whom blew their Challenger engine racing my Solara sometime back,
Now has a 550 horse power fire breathing beast under the hood!
And on ice, completely unusable....
They sat at the stop sign for 35 straight minutes burning their tires off!
And unable to move anywhere other than sideways!
 Finally at 11:30 last night they gave up when this engine blew!
Sure glad I do not need sleep....

But, that is not as bad as the people whom just panic and abandon their cars on the road!
Yesterday I was stunned to watch a 20-something walk away from their truck,
The road was only wet at that spot!
No ice, no snow, just water!
I know, I had to pull around her!

People really need a dose of common sense.
