Prayer Update

Monday I got to visit with the police for a while as I filed a report on Saturday's hit and run.  Of course, with no license number, nothing will ever come of it.  Not that there are all that many red cars with a black top that look like an old Datsun B-210 with a bad tranny around here - but it would never be conclusive.

Then off to the doctors.  And I really hate visiting doctoring when you are actually injured!  They just have to touch everything!  Nope can not believe that gaping wound on your leg actually hurts, nooooooo, just have to stick their thumb in the hole!  I suppose they believe they are paid to inflict pain.  Yeah, shamefully, I confessed to killing JFK rather quickly.

So good news: no broken bones and he did not think this injury would set off another round with the Charcot problem.
And bad news: bone bruise knee cap and lots of soft tissue damage in the ankle and knee.

I hate bone bruises, they take forever to heal.

Other items for prayer:
Dutchman got a call Friday night that his father-in-law is not expected to make it past this week.  He has cancer and the end is apparently quite near.  So he is off on Thursday to return to Holland to say his farewells.  The father-in-law is an awesome man with a wicked sense of humor!  Pastor, missionary, cool guy - most patient man I have ever known.

And an hour later Dutchman got another call that his father has about a month left.  That one is a hard one.  The man vacated reality a year ago, there is nothing left except a shell that keeps living, yelling and not understanding where or who he is.  Yeah full blown dementia.  I am just not real sure what affect this will have his mother; part of her sanity seems based on playing evil tricks on her husband.  Some of them are petty but others quite imaginative ...

So lots of pressure on Dutchman at this time!  Plus his continual buying of property and fighting with Bank of America.  Honestly I have no idea why anyone bothers with BOA, they treat their customers like garbage.  Of course, my bank, Deutsche Bank, is not much better the last few years.

Well best post this and get on with my day!
