Verses Deleted or Questioned

Okay, we have to start somewhere, and what better place is there than to base all of the following discussions and examples on the King James Version of 1769.  Yes, the 1611 was the “original” King James Version but it underwent many changes (about 200,000 I am told!) by 1769 - due to a great deal of translation errors.  So, we will go with a “baseline” of the 1769, as we look for major changes which can affect the basis of our faith.

Now, I am limiting all of our discussions to just the four Gospels – Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and the book of Acts.  Because, if you want to learn whom Jesus is – this is where you are going to find what He and others whom known Him, said about Him and did as a witness.  Any changes here can damage our ability to know Him....

This selection of verses is in no way all inclusive, but enough for you to see that there is quite a bit of disagreement amongst translators was to what should be included and what should not be!  And each inclusion or exclusion from your Bible does make a difference in how it reads….  And how it reads is what you can know about Jesus and is basis for your salvation, faith and personal theology!
